Gov. Bindow in trouble for certificate forgery

Image
The educational particulars presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by Governor Muhammad Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa state was fake. It could be recalled that Bindow was a Senator  of the 7th Assembly in 2011-2015. He contested the Governorship bye-election of Adamawa in 2014 before the Federal High court truncated the process. He won the same election thereafter in 2015. In all these elections, Bindow have presented fake educational credentials until now. What seemed to be hilarious in this forgery is that the address of the school (City College of Higher Education) he did in London "is actually a pastry shop at 67 Seven Sisters Road, London" as shown by Google map, claimed by Sahara Reporters. Also obtained and reported by Sahara Reporters were "Particulars of forgery of WAEC Certificate No: SG 488238A of June 1983 with Candidate Examination No: 20623/055 from the official records of WAEC, belongs to one Mr. Dalyop Pam Dong Ri...

Kanu’s appearance and my apology to the Nigerian Army By Charles Mbani

Image
Wonders, as they say, shall never end in Nigeria. I am so ashamed of myself. So much so that I feel like disappearing from the surface of the earth upon watching the video of the “almighty Nnamdi Kanu” of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) praying in Jerusalem for misleading our people and absconding with his ill-gotten wealth. These are indeed lessons to be learned when we wipe up unnecessary sentiments in the polity. And also a reminder to us as a people that we should take our time to study the motives and actions of individuals masquerading themselves as religious and ethnic champions. The Nnamdi Kanu’s case was quite an unfortunate episode when one realized how he deceived many people into believing he is the messiah they have been waiting for. He became a nuisance, and he is still one, and he gave out himself, not only as an ethnic champion, but he also arrogated himself a spiritual role in the lives of some members of the unsuspecting public. In truth, I was one of th...

A test for Adams Oshiomole

Image
Primary elections have come and gone with winners and losers. Whichever divide you fall in, the scars would take long to heal, because of the nature of 'winner takes all' of our politics. This syndrome, to a large extent, have characterized the cut-throat competition in our political process. What former President Obasanjo called 'do or die, a term defining extreme measures people take to get into political power and to cling to such no matter the consequence. This syndrome has buttressed the fact that  our political culture is taking a curve to maturity. History will be kind to Senator Omo Agege who stood against the illegality of suspending Senators at will. History will also be very kind to electorates who voted against political leaders that have absconded from their moral obligations as exemplified by the good people of Gubio, Magumeri, Kaga local governments of Borno state who refused to return their member house of representatives  with a zero vote during the A...

A little reminder to Peter Obi

Image
I think we are making some progress, a few months ago Emeka would never have sent a unity campaign  message like this. Thank God the emergence of Peter Obi as Vice Presidential candidate in the Zoo is beginning to change the narratives. Unity of all the people of the country is good but when campaigns for election start in earnest, the candidates will move across parts of the country to canvass for votes. I wonder what Obi will tell the Northern people especially the Hausa and Nupe Muslim communities why as a governor in Anambra he decided discriminate against them by  demolishing their markets, like the  Northern Goat Dealers Market ,  Arewa Park , Arewa Onion Dealers Park etc When he goes to Yoruba Land he will have to explain a similar action he took at Osogbo Park , Akure Park and Ilorin Park. These parks at Bridge Head have been in existence since 1977 but he decided to demolish them in an attempt to force the non' indigenes ' surrender their businesses to...

Dollarization of PDP primary election

From the wall of Janet L Salomon People are complaining that there is no money but not knowing that the money is being controlled by few individuals. In today's PDP's presidential convention. We are made to understand the convention has been dollarized Let's go mathematically with the money expended so far by some of the aspirants. There are 4,000 delegates at the convention Bukola Saraki is doling out $1000 per delegate so,  $1000*4000=4000000($4million) Let's go by N350 exchange rate 350*4000000=(N1400000000)(N1.4bn) Where did Saraki get this money from? Atiku Abubakar is doling out $5000 5000*4000=$20000000 20000000*350=(N70000000)(N7bn) . We understand Atiku Abubakar owns various businesses and he can say he got his money through the businesses. Nyesom Wike is doling out $10000 $10000*4000=($40,000000)($40million) 350*40000000=(N14bn) Where did Wike gets such money from? This was how GEJ dollarize the entire nation prior to 2015 generation e...

The killing zones in the plateau

Image
Some of the dangerous routes that travellers are likely to be killed around Plateau are; Du Riyom Heipang Kassa Du is however an abbatoir for the Berom terrorists, where they kill innocent travelers, drink their blood and eat the corpse and bury some. The Du pond is a clear indication where they have been trying to hide evidence of their barbaric atrocities.

2019 getting dirtier as christians attack CAN

Image
S.A on social media CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (CAN), NOT IN TALKING TERMS WITH GOD! This piece has nothing to do with the millions of Christians in Nigeria who Love the Lord with their whole hearts and their neighbours as themselves, as commanded by our Lord, Jesus Christ. On June 16, 2018, lost in the euphoria of Nigeria versus Croatia match at the on-going FIFA World cup tournament in far away Russia,  was the cheering news that the Nigeria Police had nabbed the five suspected killers of two Rev Fathers in Benue. Their names were given as follows: 1.Manga Husseini, 2.David Akenawe, 3.Agada Tsesaa, 4.Tarza Orvanya 5.Ngyohov Shin. The mostly sleeping Nigerian media, for reason explained to the nation by one of our veteran journalists, did not consider it "Breaking News". They did not even do their usual "Cut and paste". This is a bid to demarket President Muhammadu Buhari, a man elected to salvage a nation that it's ruination was backed b...

The Benue killer is connected to Gov.Ortom

Image
N1.4B FOUND IN TERSHAKU'S ACCOUNT A Nigerian Concord’s top source at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja on Sunday afternoon confirmed that the N1.4 billion which was found in the account of the detained Governor Samuel Ortom’s special assistant on special security who also doubles as the head of the Benue State Livestock Guards, Mr. Aliyu Tershaku, has been traced to the present government of Benue state. The source who confirmed that the account is a UBA current account added that it was opened on the name Aliyu Yaminu two years ago. It was also gathered that the security agency will soon approach the court to seek that the said account be frozen as a result of the security issues around it and its owner. According to our source, Tershaku didn’t confess that the funds were deposited into the account by the state government but the investigators were able to trace it to the Ortom-led administration during their investigation. The source also made it known that the Defence ...

Pro-Buhari Senators and Saraki gang in power tussle

Image
Earlier today the Senate has cried out that thugs have invaded its sanctity and snatched the mace, the symbol of its authority. But what the Senate failed to say was that the alleged thugs were Senator Omo-Agege and his escorts, who came to register their anger with the leadership of the red chamber. It should be recalled that the Senate on Thursday suspended Senator Ovie Omo- Agege (APC), Delta Central, for 90 legislative days. Senator Omo- Agege has also been asked to withdraw his suit against the Senate from the court. Omo-Agege's suspension has been a series of  power tussle between pro-Buhari Senators who felt slighted by tinkering with the sequence of the forthcoming election by the Saraki gang. Before Omo-Agege's suspension, 9 other Senators had walked out of plenary over the matter of election sequence; Abdullahi Adamu (Nasarawa West), Abu Ibrahim (Katsina South), late Ali Wakil (Bauchi South), Abdullahi Gumel (Jigawa North West), Umar Kurfi (Katsina Central), Yah...

A broken school chair that fetched $44,000 in the USA

Image
"On March 28, Laurissa Kovacs took to Facebook to raise awareness about the conditions her students learn -- and sit -- in. A week later, the art teacher from Puterbaugh Middle School in McAlester, Oklahoma, had received more than $44,000 in donated supplies, as of Wednesday evening" CNN reported on their Twitter handle. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2018/04/04/us/oklahoma-teacher-donated-supplies-trnd/index.html?__twitter_impression=true This is partly what makes the American society thrive in magnanimity and triggers flow  of human emotions towards charity work. An emotional quantity lacking in most African countries. Tales of stolen billions of naira is always in the news in Nigeria. Ordinary politicians own private jets, some travel abroad on flimsy grounds using billions of tax payers money. Funds meant for building classrooms, medical facilities are consistently misappropriated. CNN further reported that "Kovacs is one of hundreds of Oklahoma teachers participatin...

Only 28 candidates registered for common entrance examination in Zamfara state

Image
The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, on Wednesday said the Federal Government was worried about the low number of candidates seeking admission into its 104 colleges across the country, who registered for the 2018 National Common Entrance Examination. The minister, in a statement released in Abuja by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Priscillia Ihuoma, noted that only 28 candidates from Zamfara State registered for the examination. Prior to the minister’s revelations, Hon. Ibrahim Gusau had also sensationally alleged that Zamfara has only 10 state sponsored medical doctors. No wonder the state was the worst hit with meningitis last year at the height of the heat season. With a population of almost 4 million, the state with low number of qualified medical personnel will not cope with any outbreak of disease.  It should be noted that the Zamfara state Governor is the Chairman Northern Governor's Forum (NGF), a die hard APC chieftain who is believed to be clos...

Army warns T.Y. Danjuma

NIGERIAN ARMY PRESS STATEMENT ON THE ALLEGED MILITARY COLLUSION WITH MILITIAS/CRIMINALS MADE BY FORMER CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF 1. The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to the unfortunate statement made by a former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, during the convocation ceremony of the Taraba State University on Saturday 24 March 2018 in which he categorically asserted that the Armed Forces of Nigeria was colluding with militias and other criminal elements and was unable to provide security for the citizens of Taraba State.  He further called the people of Taraba State to take up arms and defend themselves.  The Nigerian Army views this statement made by the former Chief of Army Staff as most unfortunate at this critical time that the military has embarked upon demilitarisation of the North Central Region of the Country. 2. While Nigerian Army would not want to join issues with the Elder Statesman, however, certain facts need to be ...

IS OBASANJO RESTLESS OVER ALLEGATIONS OF CORRUPTION ?

Image
It is not news that OBASANJO is working openly to block President Muhammadu Buhari from a second term in office. People who are keenly following this unfolding saga insists that OBJ is bent on that drive not because PMB is not working but because OBJ wants to protect his questionable profligacies and the corruption charges hanging over him as summed up below by an ardent follower of the sins of Obasanjo. "OBASANJO IS RESTLESS BECAUSE HE KNOWS THAT BUHARI WILL BE RUTHLESS IN HIS 2ND TERM, ALL THE CORRUPT NIGERIAN LEADERS WILL NOT BE SPARED IN THE ANTI-CORRUPTION WAR. OBASANJO SHALL BE COMPELLED TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT: $182 MILLION OF HALLIBURTON BRIBERY SCANDAL, £1.3BILLION OF SIEMENS BRIBERY SCANDAL.  $1.1BILLION MALABU. $16 BILLION OF ELECTRICITY POWER PROJECT, N7 BILLION OF LIBRARY PROJECT, WITHDRAWAL OF N2.1BILLION FROM ECA, LOOTED PTDF FUNDS, WITHDRAWAL OF N3 BILLION FROM MOFAS ACCOUNT AND OTHERS."

Femi Fani-Kayode: Do Not Become Evil to Fight Evil

Femi Fani-Kayode: Do Not Become Evil to Fight Evil By Reno Omokri I see Femi Fani-Kayode as a comrade of mine even though he has had occasion in the past to attack me. But I have moved on from that and I hope both FFK and Mark Zuckerberg have too. What I want to remind Mr. Fani Kayode of today is the quote by the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan that "You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts." You see Femi Fani-Kayode and I share a desire for a more progressive Nigeria with a level playing ground for all, where your tribe, religion and gender are not as important as your character and intellectual abilities and in fighting for this just and utopian society, we both have to guard from becoming like those we fight against. Probably no one has written against killer Fulani herdsmen as I have. I have taken my advocacy to the US Congress, to the international media and to ranking evangelicals in America. But what I will not do is lie, mi...

THE AGENDA

The final figures for 2015 registered voters in Nigeria stood at sixty eight million, eight hundred and thirty three thousand, four hundred and seventy six (68,833,476), out of which Adamawa State had 1,559,012 compared to Borno State with a whopping 1,934,079 in spite the boko haram distractions. It wasn't a twist of fate that it recorded a larger turn out than Adamawa State despite the odds of insurgency; it was a careful organization and intentional planning of people and resources towards a common goal. Two weeks ago there were about 30,000 permanent voter cards (PVC) that were yet to be collected in Yola south alone and about half of that number in Yola north! Note that Fufore, Yola north and Yola south local government areas have the first, second and third highest population in the state. With this advantage, Adamawa central zone needs to take a critical stand over its political and economic positions. This zone covers seven local government areas which are Fufore, Yola s...
