Igbos and the crisis of confused identity

A video has surfaced on the internet alleging Igbo support for El–Zakzaky's IMN Shiites sect. The video is showing a group of protesters chanting support in Igbo language.

A court order has, on Friday, proscribed IMN Shiites as a terrorist group. Justice Nkeonye Maha also ordered the government to publish the order in two national newspapers. This is coming at a time when their protests have claimed the life of a Deputy Commissioner of Police, (DCP) in Abuja.  The shittes also killed a corper serving with Channels TV,  as well as burnt two National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) vehicles. These are among other vandalism and road blockade.

In a similar situation, Justice kafarati had on September 20, 2017, made a land mark judgement prescribing IPOB and labelled it a terrorist group upon an ex party application by the Abubakar Malami, Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

The two outlawed groups, IMN and IPOB, have seemed to have a common foe in president Muhammadu Buhari. This dreadful connection is drawing them closer, like they say,  "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".


The irony of IPOB's relationship with IMN is construed as sheer mischief, roguery and laughable. The run–away leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, had recently accused president Buhari in attempting to Islamize the country. Mr Kanu abhors Islam and the Fulani tribe. Zakzaky's major cause is to create an Islamic State in Nigeria, akin to the Iranian revolution in 1979. So it is shocking for Igbos, who are calling for their own country, Biafra, who hates Muslims, to turn around in support of what they despised.

Nigerians who saw the video are unanimous that IPOB and Igbos are are confused tribe. One day,  they want Biafra, in another day,  they are agitating for the presidency to be zoned to them. In other days,  they are calling Nigeria a zoo. And now,  support for IMN?


IPOB have allegedly traced their genealogy to Jews and have linked their struggle for self state to Israel. IMN have largely drawn support from Islamic State of Iran. Israel and Iran are long arc rivals.

I think Igbos  have finally accepted IMN's brand of Islamization agenda.

Some solutions to almajiri problem

It is often said that difficult problems requires difficult solutions, almajiranci (child begging/labor) therefore calls for unemotional drastic measures, some of which are; 1) All almajiri/stray children must be mopped off the street and camped in a special facility by State Governments or any organized participating party recognized by government. 2) Special tutors and teachers to be provided for them with multiple languages and skills in technology 3) Engage them with Arabic and Artificial intelligence, teach them computer hard ware and software skills. Monday Chikwunka from Delta mastermind kidnappings in the North

"In the course of the operation, troops conducted a cordon and search exercise while acting on credible intelligence reports at YAR SANTA village in Kankara Local Government Area and its environ.
