POLICE BRUTALITY FUELING YOUTH AGITATION

Picture above shows the damaged eye of the Uber driver as brutalized by the police Police high-handedness had sparked spontaneous reaction that turned unruly in some parts of the country especially Lekki, in Lagos State. These reactions had allegedly led to deaths of some youths which were part of the protests in Lekki tollgate. There is still a back and forth between the protesters and the Government as to facts of killing by the military. One year after, there is still no hard evidence to resolve that there was an actual massacre as claimed by the sponsors of the protest tagged #EndSARS. SARS was an acronym meaning Special Anti-Robbery Squad which Nigerian youths pushed for its abolition.
