Atiku Abubakar finally found the INEC server
I somehow, stumbled on the news of the ongoing presidential petition tribunal sitting in Abuja today. Stumbled because I have not been following the case, neither do I I have interest, anyway.
Having presented 62 witnesses to the tribunal as at today, Friday, July 19, the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have closed their case. The defendants hope to open their defense on the adjourned date on Monday, July 29.
What baffled so many commentators about today's event at the tribunal was the presentation of an expert witness imported all the way from Kenya. Remember that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar also contracted a social media consultant from abroad to the chagrin of thousands indigenous experts that could do the job at less than half the amount. It would even go a long way to providing jobs to our youths and further enhance their capacity but the PDP and its presidential candidate preferred dollars against the naira.
Also remember that the PDP presidential candidate anchored his campaign on providing jobs to the youths.
The critical dilemma of many Nigerians was the insistence by Atiku and his handlers of the presence of a server which Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) purportedly used in transmitting the presidential election results. They strongly hinged their case on this phantom server which INEC on its part said never existed. By the way, it is against the electoral law to transmit election results by electronic means.
During cross examination, the ICT expert from Kenya said he got the presidential results from the server on March 12, 2019. He was then reminded that there was no way he could get the results when the election itself was held on February 23,2019 and the results were out before March 12, 2019, a whopping 17 days gap!
Atiku's obsession with this unknown server has been laid to rest. Lawyers present at the tribunal have advised him to get back his dollars from the Yahoo Yahoo boys who had led him on the wild futile journey of blind server chase.
29th July will be very interesting.
