Is APC sliding into oblivion?

I was waiting for my order in Yahuza suya when one bulgy Igbo man sauntered in. He paid and collected and order number. He sat besides me and immediately started complaining of the pending long wait. His number was 77, mine was 63. As we all waited the man became impatient. He called one of the attendants. "You people don't do PDP here?", he roared at the attendant. "I will give you N500 if you can get our orders, me and my bros here", he pointed at me. Minutes later our orders arrived, money exchanged hands and we left.

As we head to the car park, I asked him, "so this is what the PDP does?" He launched into a long tirade. The PDP is known to cut corners, circumvent rules, encourage dishonesty, 'godfatherism', and many negative antics that finally led the party down the drain.

Today, party faithfuls of the APC are becoming anxious at the path the party is heading, with many fingers being pointed at the National party Chairman, Adams Oshiomole. “We don’t want what happened in Zamfara State or other parts of the country to happen in Edo State", the State party Chairman stated to news men.

Anselm Ojezua, chairman of APC in Edo state, particularly accused the APC National Chairman, saying, "Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is the one behind the crisis in Edo APC. We have passed a vote of no confidence on him and he stands suspended from the party".

Not only in Edo and Zamfara, Comrade Adams have been accused severally on selfishness and highhandedness in the way he runs the party which led to losses, as evidenced in Adamawa, Bauchi, Sokoto and many States. In the same vein, party positions have remained vacation in spite the position of party constitution in that regard. And in spite pressure from caucuses across the country.

The positions of the National Secretary, Deputy National Chairman (South), National Auditor. But true to type, Adams is running the party like a garrison commander.

Taraba State APC alone had written several letters to all the National party organs, including to President Muhammadu Buhari, to consider their choice of Barrister M.B Mustapha for the position of the National Secretary, which has been vacant since the Governorship election, which was occupied by Mai Mala Buni, now Governor of Your State.

Now that Mr. Adams is suspended from the party, what happens? Who runs the National Secretariat? These and many other questions are begging for answers as the APC is slowly being pushed off the path of fairness, justice and sincerity, values which attracted millions of Nigerians into the party, including the aesthetics attributes of President Muhammadu Buhari.
