BREAKING: heightened vote inducement in Kano

Image
Government documents have surfaced ordering monetary disbursement to the local government areas affected by re-run election in Kano State. It is however not indicated what the moneys are meant for. But observer's have alleged that the money is meant to entice electorate and vote buying. It could be recalled that people of Gama, in Nasarawa local government, also woke up some days ago to the construction of roads and disbursement of loans to the people of that community.

APC rejects Adamawa result

Image
The APC has rejected the outcome of last Saturday’s governorship election held in Adamawa State and called on INEC Nigeria to probe the election process in all the LGAs affected. The North East National Vice chairman of the party, comrade Mustapha Salihu said in a Press conference in Yola at the party's Secretariat. It could be recalled that INEC has cancelled results in 44 polling units and has declared the whole process inconclusive. The major contenders were the incumbent Governor, Mohammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow of APC who polled 334,995, and former state speaker house of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of PDP with a leading score of 367,471.

A Christian cabinet minister adopts a Muslim Fulani boy

Image
Solomon Dalong is the minister for youths and sports under Muhammadu Buhari's regime. He is one of the outspoken supporters of President Buhari. Mr Dalong is a Christian from Plateau state who speaks good Hausa language and relates well with the Muslim community. Below is an exposé on how he has adopted a Muslim Fulani boy. Last year I visited my village Sabongida in Langtang South, while in the sitting room, I was informed that a Fulani woman wanted to see me. Immediately, I rushed out to meet her. She requested to have private discussions with me which I obliged. She was accompanied by her five year old son. She said she wanted me to adopt her son and train him in school. “I don’t want him to live this type of our life but he should be educated,” she stated. I was taken aback with the passionate manner of her presentation, more so that I am meeting her for the first time. I accepted her request but asked her to bring the child the following day together with her husband and...

Over a million people did not vote

Image
The number of registered voters in Adamawa is 1,973,083. It is not surprising that only 894,481 were accredited for actual voting during the gubernatorial election on 9th. March, 2019. This figures clearly shows that over one million people did not turn up for voting. The figure stands at 1,078,602! This staggering figure could only mean that people of Adamawa did not care who becomes their governor.

The 'Bindow' of Adamawa is winning

The court verdict that has technically removed itself from trying Governor Bindow has vindicated my stand long before now. It was my strong believe that the APC would never allow its house to collapse. A serious back room dealings and negotiations were carried out to reach this decision. Like it, most elections outcome are borne out of 'midnight' negotiations. That is why politics in Nigeria is not about ideas, but who pays the political landlords the most. The combined political forces of Omoyele Sowore, Kingsley Moghalu and Fela Durotoye only polled an insignificant 72,618 votes in the presidential election. Each one of those guys have excellent ideas to make Nigeria great. All that is against senator-elect Dino Meleye's 85,395 who has not campaigned, has a bad reputation and on the wrong side of the Government of the State. What Dino has is tons of money to endear himself to the electorate and garner votes. Dino may be a bad boy but he is a good fighter. Thousands ...
