You will recollect that INEC on Thursday, October 25th, displayed the list of candidates for the 2019 general election and their particulars at INEC State offices nation wide, as announced by the Head of Voter Education and Publicity, Mr Leo  Nkedife.  This is in compliance to the stipulations of section 31(3) of the Electoral Act. But barely two days after this publication, our reporter in Area 10 Garki office of Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, particulars of President Muhammadu Buhari were seen strewn on the ground at the front gate of the commission.  Also that of Abubakar Atiku and Oby Ezekwesilli were also sighted on the ground,  wet,  mutilated and abandoned.

He said the list was for those of Presidential, Senatorial and House of Assembly candidates. This will enable the affected candidates to verify their particulars  for various positions they are contesting for.

Primary elections have come and gone with winners and losers. Whichever divide you fall in, the scars would take long to heal, because of the nature of 'winner takes all' of our politics. I think we are making some progress, a few months ago Emeka would never have sent a unity campaign  message like this. Thank God the emergence of Peter Obi as Vice Presidential candidate in the Zoo is beginning to change the narratives.
