Yahya Jameh : Africa is a playground for the superpower nations

After all President Yahya Jameh is not like former President Jonathan of Nigeria. Nigerian social media space has been awash with similarity to conceding defeat by both persons. Perhaps Mr. Jameh had felt threatened by this comparism which had pushed him into rescinding his earlier televised acceptance of defeat by the opposition candidate.
But on a serious note, the Gambian President changed his decision to hand over power because the opposition had taken a position to imprisoned him immediately he stepped out of power. The electoral commission also did not help matters having shifted grounds from an earlier official results score of 45% and later dropped the score to 43% win for the opposition. This official uncertainty of results has bolstered Jameh's defiance; that if the electoral body could be changing result percentages it meant there was fraud somewhere in the collation.
Mr Jameh had earlier accused the international community of 'dubious interference' in Gambia's election. He allegedly, protested that the West don't like him because of his stand against legalising homosexualism and gay rights , abortion and wholesome import of 'devil worship' of the West into a God fearing Gambia.
The bitter truth for all modern African countries is that no one of them that is not backed by one foreign super power or the other. No African president that is in power devoid of support from a foreign country. Yahya Jameh is also part of this arrangement. Forceful ousting of Jameh would result in catastrophic loss of life and civil strife with endless collateral damages on both sides of the divide.
As the saying goes, "non of these leaches (foreign power) would idle by and watch it's stooges in Africa  cut off from the supply line (power) "
Observers have called for the participation of the UN and AU in amicable resolution . Have they really been successful in proactive intervention?
No doubt Yahya Jameh is a mad man!  For him to quietly leave without a blood spilt, the world must massage his ego. For once let us not give in to the psychopathic delusions of dictators world over. Let's save humanity first.
